Well, I completed episode number 38 last night on my live stream but for some reason instead of the normal 20,000 viewers sometimes as few as 10,000 TikTok decided to somehow hide my live stream or not promote it or whatever they didn’t do but my viewership was only 300 something. Which is not good maybe because I mentioned my website. Maybe because I was painting somebody who had been a vocal critic of the current administration. I have noticed a lot of my content on TikTok get suppressed, whenever I paint a left leaning figure and last night was no exception. Even though Arnold Schwarzenegger is a republican, his painting was not put on people’s news feed. I believe myself to be smarter than the AI algorithm that’s running TikTok right now so I’m sure I’m gonna be able to find a way around it and get my viewership back up to the tens of thousands like it should be. Or maybe a live stream from a place like You Tube that has less of an influence on viewership it would seem. But I may be wrong. I was also using a photo that was from the 80s so it wasn’t the most clear and there was some deep shadows in it. The AI may have seen that as not a very good camera set up or a blurry image and suppressed it for that reason the bottom line is I have no idea why my viewership went from daily 10,000 to 20,000 viewers down to 300 last night. I will curate the images a little more carefully, but I do want to paint some From days gone by and those are often not the most high-quality photos. I enjoy doing the live streams even if I have only 200 or 300. Maybe only 50 people watching whatever it doesn’t matter to me. I don’t do it for the masses. I do it for the one person who wants to learn for that one who pays attention and follows along if there’s just one then the whole live stream is a success.
